3touch Encoding
There are a number of ways of getting that live stream on your network. You can use a lightweight live encoder box which can transmit video in realtime, alternatively you can use a PCI card system which slots into your server and encodes through the PC software. Both systems can be setup to be either Point to Point, where the video is sent between two locations or the system can be deployed in a multicast fashion where the video can be viewed in multiple locations simultaneously.

Video cameras or VCR decks can easily be connected to the device. The input video is encoded to either MPEG 1, 2 or 4 formats which leaves it ready for network delivery. You can also add date and time stamps to the content. If the system being encoded has an Electronic Program Guide (EPG) then this information can be captured and sent across the network with the stream.
