Technology Overview
3touch Connect resides on the desktop and is used in conjunction with
plugging a projector or other display device directly into the VGA port
of the PC.
3touch Connect gives two different views. The user sees an intuitive
interface on their own screen by which they can drive and control the
presentation. At the same time, via a dual VGA card and using the
Extended Monitor mode, only the selected slide or file is actually
displayed via the projector.
The user can display and navigate PowerPoint, Word, Excel, pdf files and
all common video formats.
Files can be accessed either from the local internal hard drives or via
the network. For easy access the user can store files in ‘My 3touch’
which can all be opened from within the 3touch Connect application.
Alternatively they can ‘right click’ on any file and open within 3touch.
The Platform
3touch Connect is developed using Java technologies and can be loaded on
machines which support extended display mode.
It supports Windows XP and 2003 and Microsoft Office 2000, XP and 2003.
It is also designed to support Windows Vista and Office 2007.
